TOOL & DIE TECHNOLOGY (CER / DIP)

The tool & die maker makes tools, jigs, fixes and gauges in the process of shaping, filling, grinding, tempering and assembling them.He may also design and recustom tools.The tools and dies, after completion, are checked and inspected with precision-measuring instruments to ensure conformity to specifications, according to drawings, blue-prints,layouts or sample models.A tool and die-maker should be able to read and use various precision instruments and gauges.

TURNER (CER)

A turner is a crafrsman who prepares all kinds of metal objects, parts and tools by setting up, adjusting and operating different types of lathes which are usually power-driven and wholly or partly automatic.A turner has to be conversant with blue-prints and written or printed specifications, which he carefully studies before setting up the machine and marking up the job to be undertaken.

They repair and maintain domestic appliances such as vaccum cleaners, grinders, washing machines, refrigerators, room and air coolers etc.They check why an appliance has failed and do the necessary repair.

ELECTRICAL DOMESTIC APPLIANCES  & REWINDING (CER)

Motors used in appliances have turns of copper wire inside known as winding when these turns burnout it requires to rewind the element.

ELECTRICAL WIRING & CONTRACTING (CER)

It involves layout and plan for wiring, building and equipment and implement it.Sometimes this work is taken on contract basis.They also undertake laying of cables.

ELECTRONICS & COMPUTER ENGINEERING (DIP)

The brach of science and technology relating to the conducting of electricity through gases or vaccum or through semi-conducting materials concerned with the design, manufacture and application of electron tubes.This is a diploma course dealing with repair and maintenance of electronic items related with simple computer equipment’s.
